I believe that this case is very wrong. The fact that the parents lied to the doctor about what was wrong with the baby is very unnerving. The article talks about the amout of deaths in children resulting from abuse and neglect and I believe these children did not deserve to die, and I think that the death of the one-month old Enoch A. Hayslett could have been prevented if his parents would have gotten help before they got violent, or if they would have just told the doctor the truth about what they had done to their son, Enoch could have been saved.
In this very recent article, a pregnant woman drives her van, containing her three children, into the ocean in attempt to murder them. In my opinion, this woman is absolutely crazy thinking she could get away with an attempt like that. Women that want their children to die should have absolutely no interactions with their children (for the child's safety of course). Children with mothers like this will most likely always have family issues because that is just how they grew up. This is quite a sad situation.
In this article, a woman and her boyfriend were arrested for abusing their three-year-old daughter. I very much believe that these child's parents should be in jail for a very long time because of what they did to their child. Her lower back, buttocks, and legs were covered in scabs, scars, and bruises. No child should have to be struck repeatedly for something that they did wrong. The parents definitely did not handle any bad situation correctly. This child is going to have a lot of long-term mental damage, knowing how badly she had been beaten.
In this article, a nanny is arrested for child abuse after a baby was bleeding from its head and had to be hospitalized. I believe that the nanny is at fault for this baby's injury, and should be put in jail. This woman had no right to hurt someone else's baby. That is very unfair not only to the baby, but the parents of the baby as well.
This article is so upsetting and wrong. I cannot understand how anyone could do this to their child. In my opinion, instead of 20 years in jail, they should be in jail for life. There is no excuse for treating anyone that way. This little girl died because of how she was treated. She was beaten to death for doing absolutely nothing wrong. People who are as violent as these parents were should not have children because all they will do is hurt them.
The man in this article did something that could have been deadly. He drove drunk with his five-year-old child in the back seat. This man should not have been behind the wheel of a car with a child or without a child. This situation could have turned out with much worse consequences than it did. This man is lucky that he and his child did not get killed.
This woman is obviously has very bad parenting skills. She smacked her child, and forced hot sauce into his mouth because he lied to her. The woman fell asleep, and didn't wake up until she was in handcuffs. She was definitely intoxicated to have slept through something like that. She faced charges of child cruelty, which is exactly the punishment this woman should have. No one should ever want to treat their children in such ways as this. These children are permanently scarred, and will never forget the way their mother treated them.
This mother wanted to try an experiment. The experiment included giving the prescription drug Adderall to her 6-year-old son. This experiment is so dangerous, this mother could not have been very mentally stable to think she could give her child a drug that is only to be given to someone with ADHD. She emailed her son's teacher and asked if she noticed any behavioral differences in her son, and that's when the police got involved.
This article is absolutely horrifying. A woman and a man that worked for a summer camp for children are charged with child abuse. The horrifying part about the story is that they would throw things at the children tie them up, and tape their mouths shut! This is for sure not the way I'd want my future children to spend their summer. I am very thankful that these two people got caught, because they could have done worse things. The children are very lucky that they didn't get killed.
This is just another horrible form of child abuse and neglect. A woman in Fon du Lac, Wisconsin beat her two children over a period of two whole years. Her husband failed to protect them and take care of them. The children were held in bathrooms for long periods of time. The children were disciplined by only being able to drink water and eat one piece of bread for the day. The children were always pushed around and beaten. I can't imagine how the children could handle such situations. I believe that these parents should be in prison for the rest of their lives for the way they treated these poor, innocent children. The children were very undeserving of that kind of discipline.
